PROFILE | Chef Cindy
Chef Cindy’s love for food, passion for cooking, and innate talent fuel her culinary creations and accomplishments. Her career in gastronomy began at the Art of Institute of America in Los Angeles where she gained the knowledge to further her creative passion for cooking delicious food. Chef Cindy won a solo apprenticeship with Chef McDang, known as the ambassador of Thai cooking in Thailand. She exceeded expectations during her training, mastering attention to detail that is evident in all her work and resulted in winning competitions and making the Dean’s list.
Chef Cindy will be a featured presenter at 4th SoCal Annual Women Business and Wellness Conference on Nov 13, 2019 in Ontario, California
Traveling to many countries has informed her knowledge of a cornucopia of ingredients, inspired her palate and led her to innovate and create a wealth of fusion and uniquely delightful recipes.
Chef Cindy has built an impressive track record as a Personal Chef, Culinary Instructor, Guest Chef presenting Goya Foods Pop-Up Workshops and demonstrations; and is also highly sought for her ability to deliciously prepare a variety of demanding diets and cuisines for A list celebrities.
Drawing from her Mexican and Salvadoran roots she enjoys crafting dishes that marry distinctive flavors and techniques. She has adeptly made many traditional dishes healthier, delicious and allergy friendly by focusing on sourcing seasonal and organic ingredients.
Before carving her niche in the entertainment industry, she developed a strong background in catering for both small and large events drawing from years of experience at the Beverly Hills Country Club, Berkley Studios, and Kreate LA.
As a Latinx, she believes that feeding her family healthy meals helps bring about body balance, which in turns helps feed the mind and the spirit. As a wife and working mother of two she understands that having a balance is imperative.
Chef Cindy is a Personal Chef, Caterer, Culinary Instructor, Recipe Developer, Food Stylist, Photographer, Media Spokesperson, and former Instructor at Los Angeles Mission College.
