Microenterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California
AmPac TriState CDC is pleased to announce it was selected as the fiscal sponsor and administrator for the Microenterprise Collaborative of Inland Southern California (MECISC). The steering committee of MECISC selected AmPac primarily because of its alignment with the service area (San Bernardino and Riverside counties) and commitment to the mission of the Collaborative which is to create and sustain businesses and jobs through micro business development. The Collaborative was launched in 2014 under the temporary administration of the United Way of the Inland Valleys.
“Launching and growing successful micro-businesses is central to AmPac’s purpose. By providing administrative support to the Microenterprise Collaborative, AmPac can have a direct hand in improving micro-business development in the region,” said AmPac’s President, Hilda Kennedy. “We look forward to working with the steering committee and the Collaborative partners to raise public awareness of the importance of microenterprise development.”
Microenterprise development is the process of providing capital, training and technical assistance to small businesses so they can be successful, create jobs and contribute to the vitality of the local economy. The Collaborative focuses on providing public education programs, developing referral tools and resources and coordinating micro-business service providers so local small businesses can access workshops, business counseling and loans to grow their businesses.
