Congratulations | 2018 Alianza U Foundaton Sueño Ceremony
With eyes on his superior soccer technique and his 4.0 GPA, it’s no surprise why Mauro Rafael, student at Wilson High School in Long Beach, Calif., received recognition by Toyota with a $5,000 scholarship during the 2018 Alianza U Foundaton Sueño ceremony this past weekend. The ceremony on Sunday culminated a soccer-filled weekend during the Alianza de Futbol activities at the San Bernardino Soccer Complex where thousands of soccer youth and families participated in a series of youth soccer tournaments.
“Toyota recognizes the importance of soccer in the lives of so many of our Hispanic customers, as it’s a distinctive part of their heritage,” commented Berna Riveira, Engagement Marketing Planner for Toyota Motor North America. “Mauro embodies the spirit of determination and has the dedication and drive to be not just a high caliber student but an amazing soccer player. We congratulate him and his family who together are on the road to making his dreams come true.”
As the exclusive automotive sponsor of Alianza, Toyota is the title sponsor of the Copita Alianza, a series of youth tournaments that started in May and go through October in key Hispanic markets where thousands of children participate. The sponsorship includes activation areas where Toyota connects with families and kids with a full experiential footprint, including branded jerseys, trophies, and special soccer guest appearances.
