2015 Inland Prosperity Conference | March 28 – Cal State San Bernardino
Groundbreaking entrepreneur Janice Bryant Howroyd, CEO and founder of ACT•1 Group and the first African American woman to own a billion-dollar company, is the keynote speaker at the 2015 Inland Prosperity Conference on Saturday, March 28, at Cal State San Bernardino.
A leader in talent and resource management solutions, Howroyd will share her “Seven Keys to Business Success” that helped her build a small employment agency into a $1.4 billion-dollar international powerhouse. AppleOne, one of the largest privately owned staffing companies founded in the United States, is part of her empire with local San Bernardino area offices. The first 50 attendees will receive a copy of Howroyd’s book, “The Art of Work: How to Make Work, Work for You.”
“I am pleased to be a part of this event that will inspire the next generation of women and minority entrepreneurs,” Howroyd said. “The university does a great job of providing programs and resources to support early stage and aspiring business owners, and I am proud to share my story in support.”
Accomplished entrepreneurs, authors, and leaders will lead three panel discussions on “The Power of Profitability,” “Taking the Leap to Achieve Your Dreams,” and an interactive session on “Technology Time Savers and Money Makers.” Parking is free and admission includes a light breakfast and buffet lunch.
The 2015 Inland Prosperity Conference is sponsored by Bank of America and presented by California State University, San Bernardino, the university’s College of Business and Public Administration, the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship, the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley Women’s Business Centers and the Latino Business Students’ Association.
The Inland Prosperity Conference runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Santos Manuel Student Union Events Center.
