Along with the great value of the 2 and 3-day tickets, guests will enjoy a fun challenge when they visit the parks: What to do next? There are so many ways to explore their Disney Side, that playful side that emerges when they visit a Disney Park. Will they visit a princess, a Jedi or Lightning McQueen? See Radiator Springs or Toontown? Embark on a jungle cruise or journey to galaxies far, far away? Dine at a seaside boardwalk or dance the night away at Mad T Party?
With so much to do at both parks, guests may choose from a variety of sensational shows, attractions and dining locations. At Disneyland, favorite experiences include Star Tours with more than 50 different destination combinations; the classic Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, set to reopen in early 2014 following refurbishment; and the fantasy adventure of Peter Pan in Fantasyland. Recent additions to Disneyland include the stage show, “Mickey and the Magical Map,” featuring characters, music and fun surprises in the Fantasyland Theatre, and Fantasy Faire, a regal setting for encounters with some favorite Disney princesses.
At Disney California Adventure, the fun ranges from the thrills of Radiator Springs Racers (get your Fastpass ticket early!) to a nostalgic jaunt on the Red Car Trolleys, a 4D gaming experience on Toy Story Mania!, and nighttime amazement with the “World of Color” water spectacular with its nearly 1,200 powerful fountains, sensational music, and colorful animation projected onto enormous mist screens. The original “World of Color” returns in January, following the exciting holiday version, “World of Color – Winter Dreams.”
Classic attractions and entertaining shows offer even more options for guests, including a thrilling ride down the slopes of the Matterhorn at Disneyland and an exciting run on the California Screamin’ coaster at Disney California Adventure. Guests also may enjoy themed dining locations ranging from the newly reopened Market House featuring Starbucks drinks and house-made Disney treats in Disneyland to the Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge, Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta and Paradise Garden Grill restaurants in Disney California Adventure.
