Regional Leadership Academy Launches in September

The Inland Empire Economic Partnership (IEEP) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the creation of The Regional Leadership Academy.  Actively engaged members of the regional community in the public and private sectors are invited to participate in an exploratory program that will provide in-depth understanding of key issues facing the Inland Empire region, including the Coachella Valley and the High Desert, Southern California and the state of California. Participants will advance their knowledge of regional issues, public policy, and perceptions of the Inland Empire within the state. The cohort will also advance their leadership skills via web-based modules and will apply this regional education in their communities.

“A region of 4.3 million people should always be investing in its future public and private sector leaders. The Regional Leadership Academy exists to advance the knowledge and pride of our regions current and future decision makers”
said Paul Granillo, President and CEO of IEEP.

Participants will engage in all-day sessions once a month from September, 2013 to June, 2014. The group will also travel to various destinations to connect with regional and statewide leaders. IEEP will present those who successfully complete the academy with a certificate endorsed by California State University San Bernardino and California Baptist University.

This program is intended to develop and expand a network of professional leaders in the business, government and community sectors across the Inland Empire. The participants will expand their understanding of the people, places, and trends shaping Inland Empire Region.
