Miguel’s Jr. Redefines Drive-Thru
Miguel’s Jr. today announced the launch of a new test store with a redefined drive-thru experience focused on speed of service and order accuracy.
The new location will debut in Norco, California in the Norco Village Shopping Center in December 2017. While the new 2,500 sq. ft. location will feature a smaller dining room, it will have a drive thru capacity up to 30% greater than the typical store model, representing a new retail strategy for the brand.
According to a recent customer input survey, the demand for quality food at a faster pace is becoming increasingly necessary. “Up to 70% of our guests enjoy their meal away from our restaurants,” said Stephen Rezner, Director of Marketing for Miguel’s Restaurants. “This new model is a test we hope will allow us to accommodate the needs of this growing segment of our customer base and provide opportunity for growth in an ever increasingly competitive marketplace.”
The new drive-thru concept store marks the 18th Miguel’s Jr. in Southern California and 2nd location in Norco. Miguel’s Jr. opened new traditional drive-thru locations with counter service and expansive interior seating in Redlands and Huntington Beach, California earlier in the year. The brand has plans to continue expansion in the Southern California market in 2018 with the smaller drive-thru focused locations.
“It has become more challenging to find free standing large foot print drive-thru real estate options. In order to continue our growth efforts and to be able to bring our homestyle Mexican food to fans throughout Southern California, we may need to evolve our design to meet the demands of our customers,” said Javier Vasquez, President of Miguel’s Restaurants. “Testing this new drive-thru focused experience in the community where we were founded gives us an opportunity to gain valuable feedback from our loyal customers while reaching new guests looking for convenience and speed of service.”
The new Norco store will offer all the latest Miguel’s Jr. menu items, including a full breakfast menu with 7 breakfast burritos and a variety of breakfast plates. The menu also includes the new homemade horchata and all-natural lemonade made with 100% all natural pure cane sugar and fresh-squeezed lemons.
Miguel’s Jr. features homestyle Mexican dishes that are made using only premium ingredients including fresh Haas avocados, all natural & hormone free poultry, pasture raised, corn fed beef, 100% stone ground tortillas and tortilla chips, as well as their famous fresh-made daily hot sauce.
